Welcome to the Protagonist!

We are an Albanian - American school operating from two facilities in Tirana, Albania.  We currently offer grades 1 through 9 and while we conform to Albanian state education regulations, our cirriculum and style of teaching have definite American influences.

The latest educational methods being applied in western countries are implemented at the Protagonist.  We work hard to give our students a stimulating and unique academic experience.  All the students follow the national education system approved by the state, but with additional emphasis on English literacy, science and computers.

The name "Protagonist" represents our desire for our students to be the leaders of the next generation. Through teaching methods that are mainly focused on solving problems using "critical thinking", they will be taught how to deal with a variety of challenges.  Their study of the English language will better equip them to successfully take part in the modern world.
